Story Time

Today we spent most of our time getting ready for our trip to Melbourne.

We had some family time under the macadamia nut tree this afternoon, to read some special stories.

I sure hope you all enjoyed the sunshine today, what did you get up to?

The Wedding

Last weekend I had the pleasure of celebrating a family wedding on the beautiful central coast of New South Wales. What a beautiful day!

One Of Those Days

Today really tested me as a parent. It was one of those days that really pushes you to the limit and tests your boundaries. Our two wonderful children decided to show their ever present determination capabilities.

I went shopping this morning, by myself!! The first time since we had Isla seven months ago. I hurried around to find a dress and shoes for a wedding on Saturday. The whole time I was out Isla cried and screamed for her Dad and Grandma. As soon as I walked in the door she started smiling again and played like nothing had ever happened. I am starting to get a little tired of being a milk bar. Getting bub to have a bottle would be quite beneficial for all of us. But that little girl is determined not to give in.  She crawled after me around the house trying to get what she wanted.

As for Mr three, well lets just say that he may still end up as chief negotiator at the United Nations one day. My little man has a bucket load of determination in him. It's great when your older, when it comes to being three it's not so great.

The two things that make a tough day better, wine and chocolate.

Goodnight all.

The Dip

We have just come back from an truly wonderful week away with family.

It was a last minute decision to embark on the six hour drive to "The Dip". I sure am glad we decided to go.

What an amazing group of people and an unforgettable farm experience. The week was filled with different expeditions, from feeding the cooks to flying in an ultra light plane.

Nothing beats the fresh air, wide open landscapes, afternoon tea and family fun.

We will always remember the week that Isla learnt to crawl at "The Dip".

NO MINES ON THE LIVERPOOL PLAINS, save our food bowl!

Welcome 2012

The new year brings a new life to our ever growing small family.

We have packed up our home, filled our car with enough possessions (and the parrot) to last a few months and hit the road on a mammoth adventure that will take us from Cairns to Perth.

It's been really hard saying goodbye to our loving friends in the far north, it will forever have a special place in our hearts.

It's time to say goodbye to crocodiles, cyclones and humidity but hello to sun, surf and sharks.
